Air purifiers, oil diffusers and scent machines are becoming quite the bomb! The scents that surround us can have a profound effect!  They can evoke memories, emotions, feelings of joy or feeling of sadness.  The power of the olfactory nerves in our noses is truly astounding and some people are more sensitive to smells than others..but it's important to us all!

The smell of your home to a prospective buyer is SUPER important.

I have literally had people turn and walk out of homes simply based on scent alone.  No going passed the entry way..they were done!

The worst smell to buyers is smells of any type of mold.  So be sure your home stays clear of mold issues. Don't let any mold problems continue.. attack them fast.

Damp Rid products can help with damp basement odors, but really be sure an investigate the source!

Candles are great when you are home, but I don't recommend them for showings of homes while you are not present.

Plug-ins can certainly be helpful, just be sure and use a mild scent and not an overpowering one.

Oil diffusers can not only provide a great smell, but aromatherapy to your home, improving sleep, increasing relaxation, and improving your mental health.  Again, you will not want anything too overpowering.  Ask your friends or some relatives to come visit and give their honest opinions!

But the latest craze are scent machines.  Infamous hotels and spas even develop signatures scents that you can purchase to be diffusing in the air of your home!  These can be quite pricey but are becoming quite popular!  They are less messy and long lasting.  So in the end, they may be the more economical choice!  Sometimes quality over quantity matters.
